Semi Permanent Makeup

Semi Permanent Makeup is a must for any women who want to look good 24 hours a day.

Semi permanent make up is the revolutionary beauty treatment that will help define your brows, enhance your eyes and add definition to your lips, enhancing your natural beauty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We will give a soft, natural and youthful look which is normally achieved by applying conventional make up. Our procedure is a safe and non-surgical cosmetic treatment.

Semi-permanent make-up  lasts between nine and 18 months. We uses is natural, mineral-based and non-toxic, meaning treatments are hypoallergenic.

First, We used a regular eyebrow pencil to shape and colour your brow - and onceyou was happy with the shape, a topical anaesthetic was applied to numb the skin.

Next, a fine needle was used to tattoo individual hairs - more irritating than painful. The process was the same for the Eyeliner and Lip.

Semi Permanent Makeup After Care

Symptoms Experienced During Healing
  • Minor redness, bruising, swelling and tenderness are symptoms to be expected immediately after treatment. The length of time this takes to settle varies from person to person.
  • Dry flaking and mild itching as the treated area heals could be experienced.
  • Crusting may be experienced.
  • These symptoms are a normal part of the healing process. The length of time the above symptoms take to settle varies from one person to another.

Hygiene Instructions – Prevent Cross-Contamination
  • Wash your hands before applying your healing product.
  • Use a cotton bud to apply the healing product. Do not return the cotton bud back into the healing product once it has been in contact with the injured skin. Use a clean bud each time you apply the product.
  • Do not use facial cleanser on the treated area until it has healed.
  • Do not PICK, PEEL OR RUB any dry flaking skin or crusting of the treated area as this could encourage the risk of infection or scarring of the skin. Allow the skin to heal in its own time with the assistance of the healing product.
  • Do not touch the treated area with your hands
  • Do not use make-up near the treated area for at least three days
  • Do not receive skin-care or beauty treatments until the skin has healed.

General Care after Cosmetic Tattoo Procedures
The average healing time for most skins can range from 5 to 14 days.
  • Do not  expose treated skin to sunlight, tanning treatments, Jacuzzis, saunas, salt water, chlorinated pools, direct shower spray
  • Do not receive bleaching treatments, waxing treatments, electrolysis or laser hair removal treatments close to the treated area.
  • Do not ever use Retin-A, Vitamin C or products containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids as these products will fade the pigment colour.
  • Do not use Antibiotics on pigmented skin. Antibiotics cause a severe allergic-like reaction.

Pigment Fading Depends on the Following
  • The skin's ability to accept the pigment. Total rejection of pigment can occur. This cannot be determined before the procedure.
  • The general health of the skin.
  • The degree of crust formation and flaking experienced during the healing process.
  • The intensity of the choice of pigment colour.
  • The treated area will appear very exact and darker in colour when first treated, but approximately thirty to forty percent of the intensity will be lost during the healing process. The pigment colour loss for the lip-liner and full lip procedure could be up to eighty per cent. The colour will soften during healing. Some skins lose quite a lot of pigment during healing and some hardly lose any colour at all.
  • The skin care products used. Those products that have a high percentage of Vitamin A and C will cause the pigment to fade more quickly. Also Alpha Hydroxy Acids have the same effect.
  • Some medications can cause more rapid than normal fading of the pigment.
  • The sun will fade the pigment and so will swimming in salt and chlorinated water.
  • Too much time lapse between the original treatment and the follow-up treatment.

Eyebrows
For the first 12 hours after the treatment, wash the brows with wet cotton wool pads to remove body fluids as they appear. Use a clean pad for each brow to prevent cross-contamination. Pat the area dry with clean tissue then apply the antiseptic healing product three to four times per day with a cotton bud as per instructions given above until the area is completely healed. Towards the end of the healing apply only once or twice per day. Please follow Hygiene and General instructions as above.

Remember, your selected brow colour will be stronger and more sharply defined for ten to fourteen days after application but as the healing process occurs the colour will soften and lighten.

Eyeliner
Rinse your eyes after treatment with cold water as often as you deem necessary. Use eye drops as often as you wish after treatment to sooth the eye area. Instead of rinsing you may place wet cotton pads in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes and place on the eyelids to reduce swelling. Do not put pads in the freezer as they could burn the tender skin around the eyes. Please follow Hygiene and General instructions as above.

Do not receive eyelash tinting, permanent curling or artificial eyelash application for the next two weeks after treatment.

Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from wind and pollution.

Refill treatment
The follow-up procedure appointment is an important step in the whole Cosmetic Tattoo procedure.

The approximate healing time is fourteen days. This will vary from person to person.

Some unevenness of colour can be experienced after healing is completed. This can be corrected at the follow-up visit. You might decide some time after the first procedure that you would like an extension or lengthening of the eyebrows. This can be achieved at the follow-up appointment.

Please note
Use a good sunscreen to protect your Cosmetic Tattoo.

If you are planning on having a chemical peel, laser treatment or an MRI scan, please inform the Technician of your permanent cosmetics.

Please inform the National Blood Service if you donate blood as you may not be eligible to give blood for at least six months to a year after application of the permanent cosmetics.
